Propagate is a one-woman, one-cat graphic design studio.
It was founded by designer Kendra Bosse, who left the in-house corporate world to freelance full-time in 2021. She has since been working remotely with clients across the country.
What Matters
-
A large part of design is making things look nice. You want your brand to show up in an appealing, professional way. To do so, also look at design as the solution to a problem. Maybe customers are having a difficult time finding their way around your store, so we redesign the signage to direct them through. Maybe you’re missing out on a key demographic, so we tailor the marketing strategy toward them. I’m here to help you solve those problems in a way that’s also visually appealing!

I graduated from CCAD, the Columbus College of Art & Design, in 2018, but thankfully haven’t let go of the curiosity bug. I’m constantly searching out new information, related to creativity but also other topics of interest, from distance running to film costuming to vegan cooking. I’ve recently been watching Youtube tutorials to learn Blender, hopefully to be incorporated in future projects! (Yes, I probably will tell you about something I learned from a podcast.)

If you live in Central Ohio, you might be familiar with CSCA, the Columbus Society of Communicating Artists. If, not, check out their upcoming events! I’ve volunteered with the organization in various roles over the years, including last year as Co-President. Life is hectic, but I value making time to nurture and give back to the Creative community.

We can all do better, and I work to make choices and support businesses that do less harm to our environment and those we share the planet with. Some of my favorite clients to work with are those whose main goal is sustainability!
Why ‘Propagate’
If we’re on a video call, chances are you’ll see many spider plants in the background. My house is full of them. The wild thing is, they all originate from one single plant that I got during a team bonding exercise years ago. One of my favorite things to do now is to watch each of them grow new baby plants, and to repot those as the cycle continues.
I like to approach my work in the same way. I get invested in the work my clients are doing, and want to help them grow their roots, and provide the creative tools they need to flourish.
The name also relates to the network I’ve grown. Through jobs I’ve worked on and friends I’ve made through local organizations and events, I’ve met so many wonderful and talented people. I love having the opportunity to recommend them when the right project arrises, and they’ve been able to do the same for me. These connections are organic and authentic, and help us all grow and succeed together.
